Mike Janko

Director

Mike joined Janko Group in 2017 as a Director.  In this role, he supports development and financial activities across the portfolio and oversees special strategic projects within both Janko Group and its affiliate, Janko Hospitality.  

Previously, Mike was with McKinsey & Company – a global strategic management consulting firm – as an Associate for two years post MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Prior to business school, Mike held the positions of Debt Portfolio Manager and Investment Analyst at Janko Group.  In those roles, he governed $200 million of new and existing debt capital and analyzed nearly $300 million of investment opportunities, respectively.  Earlier, Mike performed the roles of Asset Manager and Property Accountant.

Mike is a graduate of Duke University and hold a BA with honors in Economics and Art History.  A resident of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, he enjoys creating visual art, swimming, downhill skiing, and exploring new countries (having visited 42 to date).
